In the serene surroundings of the Clingman Community in Ronda, North Carolina, a group of dedicated believers came together with a shared vision. On June 18, 1853, they organized and constituted what would come to be known as the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. The name wasn't chosen by mere chance. Nestled amidst a picturesque grove of trees, the church's location was truly pleasant, and thus the name "Pleasant Grove" was born.

While the seeds of our faith were sown in 1853, the church building that stands today has graced our community since 1898. Over a century old, it stands not just as a structure of bricks and mortar, but as a testament to the enduring provision of our Father through the faith and commitment of our congregation.

From that historic day in 1853 to the present, our journey has been marked by growth, resilience, and unwavering faith.
