Leading the Way:With Vision, Faith, and Purpose

Born in Salisbury, NC, Pastor James Safrit's spiritual journey began at a tender age of five. Under the profound preaching of Jerry Whiteheart, he experienced a transformative moment, repenting his sins and embracing salvation.

His passion for ministry led him to Champion Baptist College in Hot Springs, AR, where he pursued and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Youth Ministries. Life's blessings continued as he married his beloved wife, Allison, on May 21st, 2011. Together, they are proud parents to three wonderful children: Brody, Jade, and Hudson. Their young, vibrant family is united in their mission to serve the Lord.

Pastor James's dedication to ministry has been unwavering since his college days in 2007. He has served in diverse roles, most notably spending six enriching years at Sulphur Springs Baptist as their Associate Pastor of Youth and Children. His journey also took him to Rowan County for two years and Idaho for four.

Now, as he looks ahead, Pastor James is filled with enthusiasm and hope for the future of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. He fervently prays that the church becomes a beacon of light, impacting the community and reflecting God's glory.
